What are We all about?
The Boerne Bulldogs are a part of our family. Each dog receives individual attention and care so that every need is met. English Bulldogs are a special breed that require much love. They can be prone to genetic disorders and allergies - they are not for everyone. We want to make sure that the right dog goes to the right owner where it will be loved and cared for as a family member. Our dogs have no history of genetic disorders or health issues, and when breeding, the health of our dogs is our top priority.
Purchasing a bulldog
When considering purchasing an English Bulldog, it is very important to do research before-hand. Unfortunately, the up-front cost of the dog is not always the most expensive part. If the dog has health issues, it can very easily become expensive. Most health issues have to do with allergies, which ALL Bulldogs (and many dogs in general) are prone to. Dog food nutrition can make the world's difference for dogs. Many popular dog food brands that are advertised on television are not up to date in the science of it. We feed our dogs Grain-Free Merrick brand dog food. Any 5 star brand dog food is recommended, especially for English Bulldogs. It will prevent allergies that lower grade dog food can cause, and can also add to the life of your dog.
If you are content and have decided to purchase an English Bulldog, ask the breeder questions! Have your dogs had a history of medical problems? Are your dogs well mannered around strangers and children? What about pets? Generally, the breed is extremely open to strangers, children, and other dogs. They are friendly and loyal, and their temperaments are extremely mellow. There are no "stupid" questions when purchasing a Bulldog.
These dogs were not made to live outside. They are generally easily trainable, although stubborn, but can absolutely not be left out in the heat or cold. Due to their shortened snouts, they have a harder time breathing than other dogs, and can suffer a heat stroke in high temperatures. Also, their short fur does not allow them to stay very warm in cool weather, either. If you are looking for an outdoor dog, an English Bulldog is not for you.

The Cost
Boerne Bulldogs is open to payment plans on our puppies. Sometimes the upfront cost of an English Bulldog is a lot at once. We require a $500 non-refundable deposit to hold a puppy, and the rest of the cost must be made by the time your puppy is 8 weeks old and ready to go home. We will be happy to discuss this with you.
